Silent Auction
We hope everyone has received the 2019 Festival on Forbes Silent Auction catalogue last week - we have some amazing items on offer! Thank you to all the wonderful people in our school community for your generous donations. Look out for an updated catalogue coming via email next week. We are still seeking additional prizes, so if you would like to make a contribution, no matter how large or small, please contact Penny Gerstle or Daisy Bahen Bidding for the Silent Auction will take place online, so look out for details on how to register.

We also need donations of small prizes for the Chocolate Wheel, such as scented candles, soaps, stationary, picture frames, slime, puzzles, umbrellas, toys for boys and girls and grandparents too!

We also need bottles of wine for the Coin Toss.

The Recycled Clothing Stall would like more donations of pre-loved women’s and children’s clothing, shoes, handbags and accessories. The Book Stall and the Recycled Clothing Stall also need unwanted shopping bags and the Cafes need more pre-loved coffee cups (clean and unchipped please) for our ’Mug Swap’.

The Green Team are still collecting unwanted new and used bras for the Wayside Chapel for homeless women. Place your donations in the marked basket outside the Maintenance Office.

Cakes and Cake Boxes for The Cake Stall
It would not be the Festival on Forbes without the legendary Cake Stall. To make it a success we will be calling upon the entire school to contribute one baked cake. Flat packed cake boxes are being distributed this week to each girl from Kindergarten to Year 12.

For some ideas and recipes, please click here. Traditionally, whole cakes such as lemon meringue pie, lemon drizzle, fruit flans and chocolate cakes sell well. Muffins, cupcakes, slices, tarts, gluten free and sugar free cakes are also be very popular.
What you need to know:

•  Cake boxes will be sent home with every girl this week. Instructions and a label for ingredients are included in each box.
•  Cakes can be delivered to the General Office Reception on Friday August 23 (8.00am to 5.00pm) and Saturday August 24 between 9.00am and 2.00pm.
If delivering on Sunday, please deliver directly to the Cake Stall located on the ground floor of the Old Girls Building.

The SCEGGS Maintenance team would love to hear from volunteers to help move goods in the morning before the Fair and/or help pack up and prepare classrooms for Monday morning from 3.00pm-4.00pm.

And please do not forget to volunteer on your Fair stall! Class Parents have sent out rosters for everyone to volunteer some time on the day.

Patrons please remember that no dogs are allowed on the School grounds at any time and will not be admitted to the Fair (this excludes Assitance Dogs).

See you all on Sunday 25th August!
