From the Chaplain

We have a few students that are being confirmed this year and we also have a date for the service which will be 10am on Thursday 19 September. If anyone would still like to take part in confirmation please let me know by 23 August.

Confirmation has been part of the SCEGGS tradition since 1927. It is the Christian practice of confirming the promises made on one’s behalf at baptism. By being confirmed you are saying that you understand the Christian faith and want to commit to its teachings and values. It is a formal way of declaring publicly your belief in Jesus Christ. The confirmation ceremony is not only an expression of faith but also a welcoming into the worldwide Christian church. Confirmation is offered to all girls in Years 7 to 11.
