“At SCEGGS, I was not lost in a crowd. I had teachers who saw my potential and nurtured my growth, and I developed my interests and abilities”. Fiona FORRESTER (1996), Old Girl and former scholarship recipient
Our focus is to raise at least $12 million to contribute to the redevelopment of Wilkinson House. Over the next three years, the SCEGGS Trust aims to raise $20 million for the “Light Her Path” campaign in total, with the additional $8 million being raised to expand our means-tested scholarships at SCEGGS. Our long-term goal is to have the equivalent of 10% of our Secondary School students benefiting from financial assistance.
As part of this expanded Scholarship Program, we will also extend our Indigenous Program to the Primary School. This step is crucial in fulfilling SCEGGS’ commitments to social justice and reconciliation for Australia’s first people. We recognise that education is a key means of addressing the severe economic and health disadvantages experienced by indigenous Australians.
