Payroll Manager

Applications are invited from enthusiastic and experienced Payroll Managers for a full time, permanent position at SCEGGS Darlinghurst.

The successful applicant will report to the Senior Accountant and be responsible for preparing, calculating and processing all payroll data on a fortnightly and monthly basis for approximately 350 staff. They will ensure compliance with applicable MEA provisions, legal requirements and all internal school policies in relation to payroll. The successful applicant will also reconcile the General Ledger Reports, process Superannuation payments, calculate leave entitlements and manage salary sacrifice arrangements and FBT for the staff.

Working as part of a small accounting team, the Payroll Manager will ensure the timely and accurate completion of all matters relating to the school’s payroll, as well as answering staff queries relating to their pay and entitlements.

The successful applicant will have appropriate qualifications and experience in processing payroll in a busy and diverse organisation, preferably in an independent school. They will be analytical and methodical, with experience in payroll administration and deep knowledge of payroll regulations. The successful applicant should have a keen attention to detail, be able to work independently and as part of a small team and be an outstanding communicator.
