School Reception & Administration Support

Applications are invited from experienced administrative and customer support professionals to join our General Office team in this key position within the school. This is a full time, permanent position working 10.00am – 6.00pm, Monday to Friday and supports both our Primary and Secondary school offices in Darlinghurst.

As the first point of contact for all visitors and enquiries you will be responsible for creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere as well as delivering a superior customer service experience. Managing a busy front desk, you will be confident meeting and greeting visitors, managing incoming phone calls and deliveries, and undertaking a range of administrative duties in a friendly and courteous manner. Working alongside our Student Services team, you will respond efficiently to student enquires providing support and direction, including the provision of First Aid and general health services. This is a position for someone seeking a diverse role in a dynamic environment where flexibility and adaptability are key to success; and where ‘no two days will be the same’.

The successful applicant will have experience in a busy reception and administration support role and have demonstrated superior customer service expertise. With outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, you are confident, polite and professional in dealing with a wide range of people, adults, teenagers and younger children alike. With the ability to work both independently and cohesively as part of a team, you have strong problem solving skills and are able to think clearly and calmly under pressure. You understand the importance of managing confidential information with empathy and discretion.

A willingness to continue developing IT computer skills and a strong desire to support the diverse needs of students would be an advantage for this position.

Essential Criteria

  • Confident with Microsoft Office, including Word and Outlook
  • The successful applicant must hold a current NSW Working with Children Check clearance and be committed to safeguarding the welfare of children. 
  • Applicants must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident or hold a visa with appropriate unrestricted working rights.
  • The successful applicant will be committed to the full life of the school and supportive of its Christian ethos.
