After 30 years of outstanding leadership and distinguished service to the SCEGGS Darlinghurst community, Head of School Jenny Allum will retire at the end of 2025. Download a copy of the announcement from Chair of the School Board.

As one of Australia’s most respected educational leaders, Jenny’s enormous contribution to the School and wider educational community have been defined by an unwavering commitment to excellence in girls’ education. So many SCEGGS girls have been imbued with a lifelong love of learning, underpinned by the values of hard work, excellence and perseverance. SCEGGS staff, past and present, have thrived in an environment that highly values and respects their role as educators. Care and compassion for all in the wider SCEGGS community have also been defining characteristics of her leadership.

2025 will be an auspicious year in the school’s history, marking our 130th anniversary, the celebration of Jenny’s amazing contribution to SCEGGS and also the appointment of our sixth Head of School who will take charge in 2026.
